EIA NG STORAGE REPORT | July 06, 2012

July 6, 2012

EIA reported a +39 bcf injection for the week ended June 29 (Bloomberg median +43 bcf, Bloomberg Whisper +43 bcf). The 25 estimates submitted to Bloomberg varied from +34 bcf to +58 bcf with a standard deviation of 4 bcf. Our model showed +45 bcf. Nationwide cooling degree days remained flat at 66 CDDs. Total US: +39 bcf ( LCMC +45 bcf; Bloomberg median +43 bcf) East: +35 bcf West: +15 bcf Producing: -11 bcf Today’s +39 bcf compares to a +90 bcf injection during the corresponding week.....

EIA NG STORAGE REPORT | June 28, 2012

June 28, 2012

EIA reported a +57 bcf injection for the week ended June 22 (Bloomberg median +53 bcf, Bloomberg Whisper +53 bcf). The 27 estimates submitted to Bloomberg varied from +46 bcf to +62 bcf with a standard deviation of 4 bcf. Our model showed +53 bcf. Weather was again much warmer in the East and the Midwest as cooling degree days nationwide jumped to 66 CDDs from 49 CDDs the week before and heating demand all but disappeared (3 HDDs vs. 7 HDDs). Total US: +57 bcf ( LCMC +53 bcf; Bloomberg me.....

EIA NG STORAGE REPORT | June 21, 2012

June 21, 2012

EIA reported a +62 bcf injection for the week ended June 15 (Bloomberg median +64 bcf, Bloomberg Whisper +66 bcf). The 27 estimates submitted to Bloomberg varied from +59 bcf to +68 bcf with a standard deviation of 2 bcf. Our model showed +64 bcf. Much warmer weather in the East and the Midwest led to lower heating degree days nationwide (7 HDDs vs. 20 HDDs) and higher cooling demand (49 CDDs vs. 32 CDDs). Total US: +62 bcf ( LCMC +64 bcf; Bloomberg median +64 bcf) East: +37 bcf West: +11.....

EIA NG STORAGE REPORT | June 14, 2012

June 14, 2012

EIA reported a +67 bcf injection for the week ended June 8 (Bloomberg median +75 bcf, Bloomberg Whisper +74 bcf). The 25 estimates submitted to Bloomberg varied from +67 bcf to +85 bcf with a standard deviation of 4 bcf. Our model showed +75 bcf. Much lower temperatures in the East and the Midwest led to slightly higher heating degree days nationwide (20 HDDs vs. 15 HDDs) and significantly lower cooling demand (32 CDDs vs. 55 CDDs). Total US: +67 bcf ( LCMC +75 bcf; Bloomberg median +75 bcf.....

EIA NG STORAGE REPORT | June 07, 2012

June 7, 2012

EIA reported a +62 bcf injection for the week ended June 1 (Bloomberg median +58 bcf, Bloomberg Whisper +56 bcf). The 26 estimates submitted to Bloomberg varied from +45 bcf to +75 bcf with a standard deviation of 6 bcf. Our model showed +53 bcf. Much lower temperatures in the Rockies led to slightly higher heating degree days nationwide (15 HDDs vs. 14 HDDs), however, due to warmer weather in the other regions we saw a significant week on week increase in cooling degree days (55 CDDs vs. 32 CD.....

EIA NG STORAGE REPORT | May 31, 2012

May 31, 2012

EIA reported a +71 bcf injection for the week ended May 25 (Bloomberg median +71 bcf, Bloomberg Whisper +70 bcf). The 26 estimates submitted to Bloomberg varied from +59 bcf to +82 bcf with a standard deviation of 5 bcf. Our model showed +70 bcf. Average weather was warmer week on week (14 HDDs vs. 24 HDDs), but this time around we actually managed to increase the total degree days count from the previous week as incremental CDDs made up for the lost HDDs (32 CDDs vs. 19 CDDs). Total US: +71.....

EIA NG STORAGE REPORT | May 24, 2012

May 24, 2012

EIA reported a +77 bcf injection for the week ended May 18 (Bloomberg median +78 bcf, Bloomberg Whisper +76 bcf). The 24 estimates submitted to Bloomberg varied from +70 bcf to +90 bcf with a standard deviation of 5 bcf. Our model showed +71 bcf. Average weather was warmer week on week (24 HDDs vs. 31 HDDs), but again a combination of higher temperatures in the north and lower temperatures in the south led to a decrease in cooling demand. (19 CDDs vs. 25 CDDs). Total US: +77 bcf ( LCMC +71 .....

EIA NG STORAGE REPORT | May 17, 2012

May 17, 2012

EIA reported a +61 bcf injection for the week ended May 11 (Bloomberg median +54 bcf, Bloomberg Whisper +58 bcf). The 23 estimates submitted to Bloomberg varied from +45 bcf to +67 bcf with a standard deviation of 6 bcf. Our model showed +54 bcf. Weather was warmer week on week (31 HDDs vs. 57 HDDs), but this time lower temperatures in the South and Southeast put a damp on cooling demand as total CDDs only managed to move higher by 1 CDD to 25 CDDs from 24 CDDs the prior week. Total US: +.....

EIA NG STORAGE REPORT | May 10, 2012

May 10, 2012

EIA reported a +30 bcf injection for the week ended May 4 (Bloomberg median +33 bcf, Bloomberg Whisper +32 bcf). The 24 estimates submitted to Bloomberg varied from +27 bcf to +52 bcf with a standard deviation of 5 bcf. Our model showed +32 bcf. Weather was warmer week on week (57 HDDs vs. 69 HDDs), and much higher temperatures in the South and Southeast helped week on week comparisons for cooling demand bringing total CDDs to 24 CDDs from 10 CDDs the prior week. Total US: +30 bcf ( LCMC +3.....

EIA NG STORAGE REPORT | May 03, 2012

May 3, 2012

EIA reported a +28 bcf injection for the week ended April 27 (Bloomberg median +29 bcf, Bloomberg Whisper +28 bcf). The 24 estimates submitted to Bloomberg varied from +20 bcf to +39 bcf with a standard deviation of 4 bcf. Our model showed +29 bcf. Weather was cooler week on week (69 HDDs vs. 62 HDDs), as lower temperatures in the East outweighed warmer weather in the West and South Central regions, which however led to no change in CDDs (10 CDDs). Total US: +28 bcf ( LCMC +29 bcf; Bloombe.....
