Baker Hughes shows 1,123 active rigs as of March 13, 2015, lower by -67 from the previous week. Oil rigs decreased by -56 to 866 (ht: -38; vt-dir: -18) while gas-directed rigs decreased by -11 to 257 (ht: -8; vt-dir: -3). Horizontal oil rigs decreased by -13 to 169 and vertical/directional oil rigs decreased by -7 to 68 in the Permian (TX). Gas-directed horizontal rigs decreased by -3 to 17 in Haynesville (TX).

EIA reported a -198 bcf withdrawal for the week ending March 5 (Bloomberg median -191 bcf, Bloomberg whisper: -195 bcf). The 25 estimates submitted to Bloomberg varied from -206 bcf to -171 bcf with a standard deviation of 8 bcf. Our model showed -204 bcf. Nationwide natural gas-weighted heating degree days reported by NOAA decreased by -21 to 238 HDDs, while electricity-weighted cooling degree days increased by +1 to 3 CDD . Total US: -198 bcf ( LCMC : -204 bcf, Bloomberg median: -191 bc.....

We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline and heating oil. Non-commercials increased net length in heating oil, Brent and gasoline , but decreased in natural gas and WTI during the reference week. Non-commercials net length in natural gas declined by -23.3k to -17.1k in futures and fell by -21.2k to +31.3k in fu.....
