Please find attached data and charts detailing U. S. gas imports and power demand for the week ended November 10, 2016. Total net imports for the reference week averaged 0.83 bcf/d, lower by -0.88 bcf/d week-on-week. During the same week last year, U.S. net imports averaged 2.54 bcf/d. Average natural gas demand in the power sector was 23.2 bcf/d, lower by -1.0 bcf/d week-over-week. We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline, heating oil and gasoil. Non-commercials increased net length in gasoline , but decreased in Brent, natural gas, gasoil, heating oil and WTI during the reference week. Non-commercials net length in natural gas decreased by -20.1k to +235.4k in futures and fell by -18......

Baker Hughes shows 567 active rigs as of November 11, 2016, unchanged from the previous week. Oil rigs increased by +2 to 452 (ht: unch; vt-dir: +2), and gas-directed rigs decreased by -2 to 115 (ht: -2; vt-dir: unch). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +3 in Eagle Ford (TX) and by +1 in Permian (TX), while decreasing by -1 in Permian (NM), by -1 in Bakken (ND), by -1 in Anadarko (OK) and by -1 in areas of TX not associated with a tight oil play. Average natural gas demand in the power sector was 24.5 bcf/d, higher by +1.7 bcf/d week-over-week. Baker Hughes shows 567 active rigs as of November 4, 2016, higher by +12 from the previous week. Oil rigs increased by +9 to 450 (ht: +7; vt-dir: +2), and gas-directed rigs increased by +3 to 117 (ht: +2; vt-dir: +1). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +5 in Permian (TX), by +3 in Anadarko (OK), by +2 in Bakken (ND) and by +1 in Eagle Ford (TX), while decreasing by -4 in Other. Horizontal gas rigs increased by +1 in Haynesville (LA) and by +1 in Woodford (Arkoma).


EIA NG STORAGE REPORT | November 03, 2016

The EIA reported a +54 bcf injection for the week ending October 27, below our estimate of +58 bcf and the Bloomberg median at +56 bcf. As for the regional breakdown, we slightly underestimated the build in South Central and exceeded EIA’s estimates in the East and Midwest. As of October 27, salts reached 374 bcf, only 8 bcf below their highest-ever level (November 20, 2015). Our flow models counted +8.7 bcf injected into salt caverns during the week ending today.
