Please find attached data and charts detailing the latest CFTC Commitments of Traders Report for the week ended April 28. We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline and heating oil. Non-commercials increased net length in heating oil, Brent and gasoline , but decreased in natural gas and WTI during the reference week. Non-commercials net length in natural gas declined by -28.3k to -88.1k in futures and decreased by -31.1k to -50.4k .....

Baker Hughes shows 901 active rigs as of May 01, 2015, lower by -27 from the previous week. Oil rigs decreased by -24 to 679 (ht: -11; vt-dir: -13) while gas-directed rigs decreased by -3 to 222 (ht: -10; vt-dir: +7). Horizontal oil rigs decreased by -7 to 83 in the Eagle Ford (TX) and vertical/directional oil rigs decreased by -6 to 48 in the Permian (TX). Gas-directed horizontal rigs decreased by -2 to 14 in Haynesville (LA).

EIA reported a +81 bcf injection for the week ending April 23 (Bloomberg median +87 bcf, Bloomberg whisper: +91 bcf). The 20 estimates submitted to Bloomberg varied from +70 bcf to +92 bcf with a standard deviation of 6 bcf. Our model showed +90 bcf. Nationwide natural gas-weighted heating degree days reported by NOAA were unchanged at 67 HDDs, while electricity-weighted cooling degree days decreased by -1 CDDs to 10 CDDs. Oil rigs decreased by -31 to 703 (ht: -25; vt-dir: -6) while gas-directed rigs increased by +8 to 225 (ht: +4; vt-dir: +4). Horizontal oil rigs decreased by -8 to 136 and vertical/directional oil rigs decreased by -1 to 54 in the Permian (TX). Gas-directed horizontal rigs increased by +2 to 16 in Haynesville (LA).
