Oil rigs increased by +24 to 1,534 (ht: +16; vt-dir: +8) while gas-directed rigs increased by +7 to 323 (ht: +5; vt-dir: +2). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +8 to 111 in Anadarko (OK) and vertical/directional oil rigs increased by +5 to 210 in the Permian (TX). Gas-directed horizontal rigs increased by +3 to 24 in Marcellus ( NEPA ).
