Oil rigs increased by +2 to 672 (ht: +6; vt-dir: -4) while gas-directed rigs decreased by -2 to 213 (ht: -2; vt-dir: unch). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +7 in Permian (TX) and by +4 in Eagle Ford (TX), while declining by -3 in Bakken (ND) and Permian (NM). Vertical/Directional oil rigs declined by -6 in Permian (TX). Gas-directed horizontal rigs declined by -3 in Eagle Ford (TX).
