Oil rigs decreased by -14 to 1,568 (ht: +2; vt-dir: -16) while gas-directed rigs increased by +10 to 356 (ht: +7; vt-dir: +3). Horizontal oil rigs decreased by -7 to 197 and vertical/directional oil rigs decreased by -7 to 13 in the Eagle Ford (TX). Gas-directed horizontal rigs increased by +1 to 26 in Marcellus ( SWPA ).
