U.S. crude oil inventories rose by +1263k bbl in the week ended February 01, while Cushing stocks grew by +1441k bbl. Distillate inventories decreased by -2257k bbl and gasoline inventories rose by +513k bbl. Oil rigs decreased by -15 to 847 (ht: -7; vt-dir: -8), and gas-directed rigs increased by +1 to 198 (ht: unch; vt-dir: +1). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +1 in Anadarko (TX) and by +1 in Bakken (ND), while declining by -3 in Anadarko (OK), by -1 in Bakken (MT), by -1 in Permian (TX) and by -4 in Other areas not associated with a specific play. US: Baker Hughes shows 1059 active rigs as of January 25, 2019, higher by +9 from the previous week. Oil rigs increased by +10 to 862 (ht: +1; vt-dir: +9), and gas-directed rigs decreased by -1 to 197 (ht: +2; vt-dir: -3). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +4 in Permian (NM) and by +2 in Bakken (ND), while declining by -3 in Permian (TX), by -1 in Bakken (MT) and by -1 in Eagle Ford (TX).
