Oil rigs decreased by -2 to 859 (ht: -6; vt-dir: +4), and gas-directed rigs decreased by -3 to 183 (ht: -4; vt-dir: +1). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +1 in Eagle Ford (TX), while declining by -2 in Anadarko (TX), by -1 in Anadarko (OK), by -1 in Bakken (ND) and by -3 in Other areas not associated with a specific play.
