US: Baker Hughes shows 620 active rigs as of February 09, 2024, higher by +4 from the previous week. Oil rigs were unchanged at 499 (ht: -2; vt-dir: +2), and gas-directed rigs increased by +4 to 121 (ht: +4; vt-dir: unch). Good morning, Please find below a recap of the DOE’s weekly crude stats and a link to our detailed tables. U.S. crude oil inventories grew by +5520k bbl in the week ended February 02, while Cushing stocks declined by -33k bbl. Distillate inventories decreased by -3221k bbl and gasoline inventories declined by -3146k bbl. Major data points: Crude oil inventories: Grew by +5.52m bbl (vs. the API estimate of +0.67m bbl).
