US: Baker Hughes shows 752 active rigs as of April 28, 2023, higher by +2 from the previous week. Oil rigs were unchanged at 591 (ht: -2; vt-dir: +2), and gas-directed rigs increased by +2 to 161 (ht: unch; vt-dir: +2). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +2 in Permian (NM) and by +1 in Other areas not associated with a specific play.....

U.S. crude oil inventories decreased by -5054k bbl in the week ended April 21, while Cushing stocks grew by +319k bbl. Distillate inventories declined by -577k bbl and gasoline inventories fell by -2408k bbl. Major data points: Crude oil inventories: Decreased by -5.05m bbl (vs. the API estimate of -6.08m bbl).
