US: Baker Hughes shows 337 active rigs as of May 15, 2020, lower by -35 from the previous week. Oil rigs decreased by -34 to 258 (ht: -31; vt-dir: -3), and gas-directed rigs decreased by -1 to 79 (ht: unch; vt-dir: -1). Good morning, Please find below a recap of the DOE’s weekly crude stats and a link to our detailed tables. U.S. crude oil inventories decreased by -745k bbl in the week ended May 08, while Cushing stocks declined by -3002k bbl. Distillate inventories grew by +3511k bbl and gasoline inventories decreased by -3513k bbl. Major data points: Crude oil inventories: Declined by -0.75m bbl (vs. the API estimate of +7.60m bbl).
