U.S. crude oil inventories decreased by -405k bbl in the week ended January 17, while Cushing stocks fell by -961k bbl. Distillate inventories declined by -1185k bbl and gasoline inventories increased by +1745k bbl. Major data points: Crude oil inventories: Fell by -0.41m bbl (vs. the API estimate of +1.57m bbl).
