Please find attached data and charts detailing the latest CFTC Commitments of Traders Report for the week ended July 23, 2013. We focus on net length of non-commercial traders as well as net length of money managers and swap dealers as indicated in the disaggregated data for WTI , natural gas, gasoline, and heating oil. Non-commercials increased net length in WTI , gasoline, heating oil and natural gas during the reference week. Non-commercials’ net length in WTI grew by +43.1k to 477.5k.....

Baker Hughes shows 1,770 active rigs as of July 26, 2013, higher by +6 from the previous week. Oil rigs increased by +6 to 1,401 (ht: +6; vt-dir: unchanged) and gas-directed rigs were unchanged at 369 (ht: +3; vt-dir: -3). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +6 to 97 in the Anadarko (OK) but fell by -7 to 162 in the Eagle Ford (TX). Gas-directed horizontal rigs increased by +3 to 16 in the Eagle Ford (TX) but fell by -4 to 18 in the Granite Wash (TX).
