Schlumberger (SMITH) Stats

TATS shows 1,835 active rigs as of August 31, 2012, down -9 rigs from a week ago. Oil rigs were down by -1 (ht: +15, vt-dir: -16) and total gas rigs decreased by -8 (ht: +1, vt-dir: -9). Horizontal oil rigs went up by +14 in Eagle Ford (TX), followed by +5 in Anadarko (OK) and by +3 in Bakken (MT), while going down by -3 in Bakken (ND) and by -2 in Anadarko (TX) and Permian (TX). Vertical/Directional oil rigs went down by -3 in Permian (TX) and by -2 in Anadarko (OK). Horizontal gas rigs wen.....

U.S. crude oil inventories rose by +3,778k bbl in the week ended August 24, while Cushing stocks decreased by -421k bbl. Please find attached data and charts detailing the latest CFTC Commitments of Traders Report for the week ended August 21. We focus on net length of non-commercial traders as well as net length of money managers and swap dealers as indicated in the disaggregated data for WTI , natural gas, gasoline, and heating oil. Non-commercials expanded WTI net length during the week ended August 21. Non-commercial net length increased by +33.3k to 255.7k in futures and by +30.9k to 305.8k in futures .....

Horizontal oil rigs went up by +4 in Permian (NM) and +3 in Anadarko (OK), while going down by -3 in Permian (TX). Horizontal gas rigs went down by -3 in Marcellus ( NEPA ), while going up by +5 in Colorado.
