STATS shows 1,856 active rigs as of November 11, 2011, down -3 rigs from a week ago. Oil rigs rose by +7 (ht: +12, vt-dir: -5) and gas rigs fell by -10 (ht: -17, vt-dir: +7).

U.S. crude oil inventories declined by -1370k bbl in the week ending November 4, while Cushing stocks drew -932k bbl. Distillate inventories declined by -6020k bbl and gasoline inventories posted a decrease of -2107k bbl.

Please find attached data and charts detailing the latest CFTC Commitments of Traders Report for the week ended November 1. We focus on net length of non-commercial traders as well as net length of money managers and swap dealers as indicated in the disaggregated data for WTI , natural gas, gasoline, and heating oil. Non-commercial net length declined in WTI (after three consecutive weekly increases) and gasoline, and was virtually unchanged in heating oil (for the second consecutive week.....

STATS shows 1,859 active rigs as of November 4, 2011, up +4 rigs from a week ago. Oil rigs rose by +17 (ht: +12, vt-dir: +5) and gas rigs fell by -13 (ht: +6, vt-dir: -7).

U.S. crude oil inventories rose by +1.83m bbl in the week ending October 28, while Cushing stocks built +560k bbl. Distillate inventories declined by -3.6m bbl and gasoline inventories posted an increase of +1.4m bbl. Crude imports decreased by -419 kb/d.
