US: Baker Hughes shows 507 active rigs as of August 27, 2021, higher by +5 from the previous week. Oil rigs increased by +5 to 410 (ht: +6; vt-dir: -1), and gas-directed rigs were unchanged at 97 (ht: -1; vt-dir: +1). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +2 in Permian (TX), by +1 in Anadarko (OK), by +1 in Bakken (ND) and by +2 in Other.....

U.S. crude oil inventories declined by -2980k bbl in the week ended August 20, while Cushing stocks increased by +70k bbl. Distillate inventories grew by +645k bbl and gasoline inventories decreased by -2241k bbl. Major data points: Crude oil inventories: Declined by -2.98m bbl (vs. the API estimate of -1.62m bbl).
