Commitments of Traders Report – October 19, 2015
Please find attached data and charts detailing the latest CFTC Commitments of Traders Report for the week ended October 13. We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline, heating oil and gasoil. Non-commercials increased net length in Brent, natural gas and WTI , but decreased in gasoline, gasoil and heating oil during the reference week. Non-commercials net length in natural gas increased by +2.3k to -71.8k in futures and grew by +1.1.....

Baker Hughes shows 787 active rigs as of October 16, 2015, lower by -8 from the previous week. Oil rigs decreased by -11 to 595 (ht: -6; vt-dir: -5) while gas-directed rigs increased by +3 to 192 (ht: -1; vt-dir: +4). Horizontal oil rigs decreased by -3 in Permian (NM) and by -2 in Eagle Ford (TX), while increasing by +2 in Anadarko (TX). Gas-directed horizontal rigs decreased by -1 in Eagle Ford (TX) and increased by +1 in Haynesville (LA).
