Please find attached data and charts detailing the latest CFTC Commitments of Traders Report for the week ended January 13. We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline and heating oil. Non-commercials increased net length in Brent and WTI , but decreased in natural gas, heating oil and gasoline during the reference week. Baker Hughes shows 1,676 active rigs as of January 16, 2015, lower by -74 from the previous week. Oil rigs decreased by -55 to 1,366 (ht: -34; vt-dir: -21) while gas-directed rigs fell by -19 to 310 (ht: -14; vt-dir: -5). Horizontal oil rigs decreased by -6 to 185 in Eagle Ford (TX) and vertical/directional oil rigs decreased by -5 to 116 in the Permian (TX). Gas-directed horizontal rigs decreased by -3 to 10 in Eagle Ford (TX).

U.S. crude oil inventories rose by +5389k bbl in the week ended January 09, while Cushing stocks increased by +1776k bbl. Distillate inventories grew by +2925k bbl and gasoline inventories rose by +3171k bbl. We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline and heating oil. Non-commercials increased net length in heating oil, Brent, gasoline and WTI , but decreased in natural gas during the reference week. Non-commercials net length in natural gas rose by +7.8k to +0.4k in futures and decreased by -0.5k to +32.2k in futur.....

Baker Hughes shows 1,750 active rigs as of January 9, 2015, lower by -60 from the previous week. Oil rigs decreased by -61 to 1,421 (ht: -34; vt-dir: -27) while gas-directed rigs increased by +1 to 329 (vt-dir: +1). Horizontal oil rigs decreased by -7 to 150 in Bakken (ND) and vertical/directional oil rigs decreased by -14 to 121 in the Permian (TX). Gas-directed horizontal rigs increased by +2 to 24 in Marcellus (WV).

Non-commercials increased net length in heating oil and Brent , but decreased in natural gas, gasoline and WTI during the reference week. Oil rigs decreased by -17 to 1,482 (ht: -7; vt-dir: -10) while gas-directed rigs decreased by -12 to 328 (ht: -7; vt-dir: -5). Horizontal oil rigs decreased by -2 to 194 in Eagle Ford (TX) and vertical/directional oil rigs decreased by -4 to 135 in the Permian (TX). Baker Hughes shows 1,839 active rigs as of December 26, 2014, lower by -35 from the previous week. Oil rigs decreased by -37 to 1,499 (ht: -4; vt-dir: -33) while gas-directed rigs increased by +2 to 340 (ht: -2; vt-dir: +4). Horizontal oil rigs decreased by -3 to 196 in the Eagle Ford (TX) whereas increased by +5 to 264 in the Permian (TX).
