Please find attached data and charts detailing the latest CFTC Commitments of Traders Report for the week ended January 05. We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline, heating oil and gasoil. Non-commercials increased net length in Brent, gasoline, natural gas and heating oil , but decreased in gasoil and WTI during the reference week. Non-commercials net length in natural gas grew by +52.6k to -26.7k in futures and increased by +52.....

Baker Hughes shows 664 active rigs as of January 8, 2016, lower by -34 from the previous week. Oil rigs decreased by -20 to 516 (ht: -16; vt-dir: -4) while gas-directed rigs dropped by -14 to 148 (ht: -14; vt-dir: unch). Horizontal oil rigs decreased by -4 in Permian (NM), by -3 in Bakken (ND), by -2 in Anadarko (OK) and by -2 in Anadarko (TX), while Marcellus (WV) saw its horizontal gas rigs drop by -4.

The weekly data for 2016 in the previous version was not visible in the charts (pages 1-6). This version updates the charts. There are no other changes. U.S. crude oil inventories fell by -5085k bbl in the week ended January 01, while Cushing stocks increased by +917k bbl. Distillate inventories rose by +6308k bbl and gasoline inventories increased by +10576k bbl. Horizontal oil rigs decreased by -2 in Bakken (ND), while gas-directed horizontal rigs were relatively unchanged.

U.S. crude oil inventories rose by +2629k bbl in the week ended December 25, while Cushing stocks grew by +892k bbl. Distillate inventories increased by +1795k bbl and gasoline inventories rose by +925k bbl.
