Baker Hughes shows 864 active rigs as of June 5, 2015, lower by -7 from the previous week. Oil rigs decreased by -4 to 642 (ht: -2; vt-dir: -2) while gas-directed rigs decreased by -3 to 222 (ht: +1; vt-dir: -4). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +6 to 134 in the Permian (TX), but fell by -5 to 78 in Eagle Ford (TX). Gas-directed horizontal rigs increased by +1 to 15 in Marcellus (WV).

U.S. crude oil inventories declined by -1948k bbl in the week ended May 29, while Cushing stocks fell by -983k bbl. Distillate inventories increased by +3773k bbl and gasoline inventories fell by -334k bbl. Please find attached data and charts detailing the latest CFTC Commitments of Traders Report for the week ended May 26. We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline, heating oil and gasoil. Non-commercials increased net length in WTI , but decreased in Brent, gasoline, natural gas, gasoil and heating oil during the reference week. Non-commercials net length in natural gas rose by +5.5k to +22.6k in futures and decreased by -21.4k to +.....

Oil rigs decreased by -13 to 646 (ht: -8; vt-dir: -5) while gas-directed rigs increased by +3 to 225 (ht: -1; vt-dir: +4). Horizontal oil rigs decreased by -3 to 128, while vertical oil rigs increased by +1 to 50 in Permian (TX). Gas-directed horizontal rigs decreased by -2 to 29 in Marcellus ( SWPA ).
