Please find attached data and charts detailing the latest CFTC Commitments of Traders Report for the week ended May 13. We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline and heating oil. Non-commercials increased net length in Brent and WTI , but decreased in natural gas, heating oil and gasoline during the reference week. Non-commercials net length in natural gas fell by -23.7k to +354.8k in futures and decreased by -47.6k to +461.4k in f.....

Baker Hughes shows 1,857 active rigs as of May 16, 2014, higher by +6 from the previous week. Oil rigs increased by +3 to 1,531 (ht: +3; vt-dir: 0) while gas-directed rigs increased by +3 to 326 (ht: +2; vt-dir: +1). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +4 to 119 in Anadarko (OK) and vertical/directional oil rigs increased by +4 to 213 in the Permian (TX). Gas-directed horizontal rigs increased by +3 to 26 in Marcellus ( SWPA ).

Propane: US propane inventories increased by +2.5m bbl to 37.7m bbl for the week ended May 9, 2014. PADD 3 inventories increased +7%, or +1.4m bbl, to 20.8m bbl. PADD 2 stocks increased by +7%, or +830k bbl, to 12.5m bbl. In PADD 1, stocks increased by +6% or +166k bbl to 3.0m bbl. Implied demand increased +22% to 849 kb/d; imports decreased -24% to 55 kb/d and production fell -1% to 1.46 mb/d last week. U.S. crude oil inventories increased by +947k bbl in the week ended May 09, while Cushing stocks declined by -592k bbl. Distillate inventories fell by -1124k bbl and gasoline inventories declined by -772k bbl. Please find attached data and charts detailing the latest CFTC Commitments of Traders Report for the week ended May 06. We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline and heating oil. Non-commercials decreased net length in natural gas, heating oil, Brent, gasoline and WTI during the reference week. Baker Hughes shows 1,851 active rigs as of May 9, 2014, higher by +1 from the previous week. Oil rigs increased by +1 to 1,528 (ht: -2; vt-dir: +3) while gas-directed rigs stayed the same at 323 (ht: -2; vt-dir: +2). Horizontal oil rigs decreased by -4 to 160 in the Bakken (ND) and vertical/directional oil rigs increased by +2 to 3 in Anadarko (KS). Gas-directed horizontal rigs increased by +3 to 14 in Granite Wash (TX).

In Focus: Petrochemical update Some of the key issues on the minds of chemical companies – or at least the analysts that cover them – include ethane and propane exports, construction timelines for new cracking facilities in the U.S. and opportunities for chemical demand growth in international markets, particularly China.
