Please find attached data and charts detailing the latest CFTC Commitments of Traders Report for the week ended March 01. We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline, heating oil and gasoil. Non-commercials increased net length in Brent, gasoline, gasoil and WTI , but decreased in natural gas and heating oil during the reference week. Baker Hughes shows 489 active rigs as of March 4, 2016, lower by -13 from the previous week. Oil rigs decreased by -8 to 392 (ht: -5; vt-dir: -3) while gas-directed rigs decreased by -5 to 97 (ht: -3; vt-dir: -2). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +2 in Anadarko (OK) and Alaska but decreased by -3 in Bakken (ND), and -2 by Eagle Ford (TX) and Permian (TX). Oil rigs decreased by -13 to 400 (ht: -15; vt-dir: +2) while gas-directed rigs increased by +1 to 102 (ht: -3; vt-dir: +4).
