Please note that the Canadian inventory overview is excluded from this week’s report as the data will be released tomorrow. Today the EIA reported a +9 bcf injection for the reference week ending November 19 coming in below our own number at +12 bcf, but above the Bloomberg median at +7 bcf. After accounting for the regional rounding errors, the surprise was concentrated in the Midwest and salt-domes. Today the EIA reported a +15 bcf injection for the reference week ending November 12 and switched to the new regional breakdown. The injection came in below our own number at +19 bcf and the Bloomberg median at +19 bcf, but with five regions instead of the old three regions, the rounding error can create larger differences between estimates. The 21 estimates submitted to Bloomberg varied from +41 bcf to +78 bcf with a standard deviation of 9 bcf. Our model showed +48 bcf.
