Please find below the links to data and charts detailing the latest CFTC Commitments of Traders Report for the week ended December 10. We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI, Brent, gasoline, heating oil and gasoil. Non-commercials increased net length in Brent, gasoline, gasoil, heating oil and WTI , but decreased in natural gas during the reference week. Non-commercials net length in natural gas fell by -11.9k to -186.2k in futures and decreased by -14.7k.....

US: Baker Hughes shows 796 active rigs as of December 13, 2019, unchanged from the previous week. Oil rigs increased by +4 to 667 (ht: +1; vt-dir: +3), and gas-directed rigs decreased by -4 to 129 (ht: -3; vt-dir: -1). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +2 in Permian (TX) and by +1 in Eagle Ford (TX), while declining by -1 in Permian .....

The EIA reported a -73 bcf decrease in inventories this week, a 4 bcf smaller draw than the Bloomberg median and the inventory drop we had estimated. Our largest error was in the South Central region, where non-salt draws were smaller than our models had anticipated. Despite its smaller size, the dichotomy of salt and non-salt behavior within the South Central footprint is still impressive. Good afternoon , The EIA reported a -19 bcf decrease in inventories this week – we had -11 bcf. Last Wednesday, before the reference week was completed, our estimate was -19 bcf. That forecast was based on S/D balances while Tuesday’s estimate was derived from flow models, which included reported storage inventory from large systems in the Northeast.
