Please find attached data and charts detailing the latest CFTC Commitments of Traders Report for the week ended December 11. We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline, heating oil and gasoil. Non-commercials increased net length in Brent, gasoline and heating oil , but decreased in natural gas, gasoil and WTI during the reference week. Non-commercials net length in natural gas declined by -10.4k to +304.5k in futures and fell by -3.....

US: Baker Hughes shows 1071 active rigs as of December 14, 2018, lower by -4 from the previous week. Oil rigs decreased by -4 to 873 (ht: -4; vt-dir: unch), and gas-directed rigs were unchanged at 198 (ht: -2; vt-dir: +2). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +2 in Eagle Ford (TX), by +1 in Permian (TX) and by +2 in Other areas not associated with a specific play, while declining by -5 in Permian (NM), by -2 in Bakken (ND), by -1 in Anadarko (OK) and by -1 in Anadarko (TX). Please note our extended U.S. and Canada tables covering the withdrawal season are included in the attachment. The EIA reported a -77 bcf decrease in inventory this week (despite the regional totals implying a -79 bcf draw). This draw was +1 bcf more than our estimate and -3 bcf below the Bloomberg median. Our initial estimate for the week ending December 13th is a draw in the high 130s. While other regions and non-salts continued pulling this week, salt caverns bucked the trend by putting.....

The EIA reported a -63 bcf decrease in inventory this week. This draw was +5 bcf more than our estimate and in line with the Bloomberg median. The region where we saw our largest miss this week was the Midwest where we underestimated draws by 5 bcf. Our initial estimate for the week ending December 6th is a draw in the mid to high 70s.
