Please find attached data and charts detailing the latest CFTC Commitments of Traders Report for the week ended November 20. We focus on net length of non-commercial traders as well as net length of money managers and swap dealers as indicated in the disaggregated data for WTI , natural gas, gasoline, and heating oil. Non-commercials increased net length in WTI during the week ended November 20 after last week’s gain. Non-commercials expanded WTI net length by +0.8k to 237k in futures,.....

EIA reported a -38 bcf withdrawal for the week ended November 16 (Bloomberg median -28 bcf, Bloomberg Whisper -30 bcf). The 27 estimates submitted to Bloomberg varied from -36 bcf to -17 bcf with a standard deviation of 4 bcf. Our model showed -36 bcf. Nationwide cooling degree days reported by NOAA decreased to 3 CDDs from 6 CDDs the prior week. Nationwide HDDs increased to 131 from 125 in the prior week. LCMC Research launched a combined rig report two weeks ago. This report (US_RigWatch_combined_20121121.pdf) contains both STATS and Baker Hughes data, comparing and contrasting the activity posted by the two sources. Reports and data files generated in the old format will continue to be attached to this report. STATS shows 1,737 active rigs as of November 21, 2012, up +5 rig from a week ago. EIA reported a -18 bcf withdrawal for the week ended November 8 (Bloomberg median -22 bcf, Bloomberg Whisper -27 bcf). The 25 estimates submitted to Bloomberg varied from -34 bcf to +6 bcf with a standard deviation of 10 bcf. Our model showed -34 bcf.
