For the week ending May 7, 2020, We are anticipating a +110 bcf injection for Thursday’s natural gas storage report as indicated by our models. We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI, Brent, gasoline, heating oil and gasoil. Non-commercials increased net length in natural gas, Brent, heating oil and gasoil , but decreased in WTI and gasoline during the reference week. Non-commercials net length in natural gas increased by +35.2k to +198.0k in futures and grew by +36.4k t.....

US: Baker Hughes shows 372 active rigs as of May 08, 2020, lower by -34 from the previous week. Oil rigs decreased by -33 to 292 (ht: -32; vt-dir: -1), and gas-directed rigs decreased by -1 to 80 (ht: -4; vt-dir: +3). Dear , The EIA reported a +109 bcf injection into inventory for the reference week, 1 bcf higher than our call of +108 bcf and equal to Bloomberg median of +109 bcf. As oil producers shut in their wells, associated gas output may not fall as drastically as simple spreadsheet calculations suggest. Note: We edited the report to contain the 4 week storage forecast absent during yesterday's issue. Dear , The EIA reported a +70 bcf injection into inventory for the reference week, 3 bcf higher than our call of +67 bcf and 2 bcf below the Bloomberg median of +72 bcf.
