We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI, Brent, gasoline, heating oil and gasoil. Non-commercials increased net length in gasoline, natural gas, gasoil and WTI , but decreased in Brent and heating oil during the reference week. US: Baker Hughes shows 859 active rigs as of September 27, 2019, lower by -8 from the previous week. Oil rigs decreased by -6 to 713 (ht: -2; vt-dir: -4), and gas-directed rigs decreased by -2 to 146 (ht: -2; vt-dir: unch). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +1 in Anadarko (OK) and by +1 in Permian (NM), while declining by -3 in Permi.....


EIA NG STORAGE REPORT | September 26, 2019

The EIA reported a +102 bcf increase in inventories this week. The build was +10 bcf higher than both our forecast and the Bloomberg median. We underestimated builds in both the East and South Central this week. Our early forecast for next week’s number is an injection in the mid to low-110 bcf range. In our Tuesday report we highlighted the substantial week-over-week drop in Eastern power burns, today’s reported injection suggests the drop was even larger than our model anticipated.
