For the week ending August 22, 2019, We are anticipating a +58 bcf injection for Thursday’s natural gas storage report as indicated by our models. E: +22; MW: +27; MTN : +5; PAC : +4; SC: +0 (S:-6, NS: +6). There are currently 5 analysts reporting on Bloomberg with an average of +56 bcf. Over the next four weeks (incl. this week) we are anticipating +58, +82, +81, +92, for a total of +313 bcf, compared to last year’s +282 bcf and 5-yr average of +278 bcf. Total net exports averaged 5.92 .....

Please find attached data and charts detailing the latest CFTC Commitments of Traders Report for the week ended August 20. We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline, heating oil and gasoil. Non-commercials increased net length in Brent, natural gas, gasoil, heating oil and WTI , but decreased in gasoline during the reference week. Non-commercials net length in natural gas increased by +26.5k to -157.0k in futures and grew by +21.2k.....

US: Baker Hughes shows 916 active rigs as of August 23, 2019, lower by -19 from the previous week. Oil rigs decreased by -16 to 754 (ht: -16; vt-dir: unch), and gas-directed rigs decreased by -3 to 162 (ht: -2; vt-dir: -1). Horizontal oil rigs decreased by -5 in Permian (TX), by -2 in Permian (NM), by -1 in Anadarko (OK) and by -8 in Other areas not associated with a specific play. Horizontal gas rigs increased by +2 in Marcellus (WV) and by +2 in Other areas not associated with a specific play.....
EIA NG STORAGE REPORT

The EIA reported a +59 bcf increase in inventories this week. The build was -3 bcf lower than our forecast and in line with the the Bloomberg median. Our overestimate of South Central non-salt injections this week was partially offset by higher than projected builds in the East and Midwest. Our early forecast for next week’s number is an injection near the mid-50 bcf mark. In last week’s report we determined our recent non-salt misses were correlated to shifts in South Central power demand.....

Over the next four weeks (incl. this week) we are anticipating +62, +57, +74, +95, for a total of +288 bcf, compared to last year’s +245 bcf and 5-yr average of +247 bcf.
