US: Baker Hughes shows 956 active rigs as of July 12, 2019, lower by -6 from the previous week. Oil rigs decreased by -4 to 784 (ht: -6; vt-dir: +2), and gas-directed rigs decreased by -2 to 172 (ht: -2; vt-dir: unch). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +1 in Anadarko (OK), by +1 in Permian (NM) and by +3 in Other areas not associated with a specific play, while declining by -6 in Eagle Ford (TX), by -4 in Permian (TX) and by -1 in Monterey (CA). Horizontal gas rigs increased by +1 in Haynesville.....

Please note our extended U.S. and Canada tables covering the withdrawal season are included in the attachment. The EIA reported a +81 bcf increase in inventories this week. The build was -1 bcf lower than our estimate and +3 bcf higher than the Bloomberg median. Regionally, our largest misses were in the South Central and East, we overestimated builds in the East and underestimated South Central non-salt injections. Our early estimate for next week’s number is an injection in the mid-60 bc.....

E: +23; MW: +30; MTN : +7; PAC : +8; SC: +14 (S:-1, NS: +15). There are currently 6 analysts reporting on Bloomberg with an average of +70 bcf. Over the next four weeks (incl. this week) we are anticipating +82, +71, +48, +49, for a total of +250 bcf, compared to last year’s +159 bcf and 5-yr average of +215 bcf. We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline, heating oil and gasoil. Non-commercials increased net length in Brent, natural gas, gasoil, heating oil and WTI , but decreased in gasoline during the reference week. Please note Canadian charts are not included in this week’s report due to the early EIA release. The EIA reported a +89 bcf increase in inventories this week. The build was +5 bcf higher than our estimate and +5 bcf higher than the Bloomberg median. Our largest misses regionally were in the East and South Central non-salts, with both reporting stronger builds than our models expected. With both our flow and scrape models’ recent track record in the South Central, today’s miss within that.....
