The EIA reported a +115 bcf increase in inventories this week. The build was +7 bcf higher than our estimate and +11 bcf higher than the Bloomberg median. Due to independent rounding, the regions totaled 113 bcf making it tricky to properly compare regional misses, despite this, our largest miss was in the South Central, specifically salt cavern storage. The higher than expected injection into Eastern storage is likely partially attributable to an overestimate of power burns in the region. T.....

E: +28; MW: +39; MTN : +7; PAC : +8; SC: +26 (S:+1, NS: +25). There are currently 5 analysts reporting on Bloomberg with an average of +108 bcf. Over the next four weeks (incl. this week) we are anticipating +108, +97, +76, +71, for a total of +352 bcf, compared to last year’s+296 bcf and 5-yr average of +295 bcf. Total net exports averaged 5.8.....

We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline, heating oil and gasoil. Non-commercials decreased net length in Brent, gasoline, natural gas, gasoil, heating oil and WTI during the reference week. Non-commercials net length in natural gas declined by -33.4k to -62.2k in futures and fell by -37.4k to -33.0k in futures .....

US: Baker Hughes shows 969 active rigs as of June 14, 2019, lower by -6 from the previous week. Oil rigs decreased by -1 to 788 (ht: -2; vt-dir: +1), and gas-directed rigs decreased by -5 to 181 (ht: -1; vt-dir: -4). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +1 in Monterey (CA) and by +2 in Other areas not associated with a specific play, while declining by -3 in Eagle Ford (TX) and by -2 in Permian (TX). Please note our extended U.S. and Canada tables covering the injection season are included in the attachment. The EIA reported a +102 bcf increase in inventories this week. The build was -5 bcf lower than our estimate and -7 bcf below the Bloomberg median. Making a regional comparison for the misses is somewhat challenging as the individual regional builds add to +104 bcf.
