The EIA reported a +92 bcf increase in inventories this week. This week’s reported injection was 3 bcf lower than our estimate and in line with the Bloomberg median. Regionally, we underestimated injections in the South Central while overestimating builds in the East and Midwest. Our initial estimate for the week ending April 25th is an injection in the low 120 bcf range. With this week’s number falling well within consensus, it provides an opportunity to look at some of the early highligh.....

We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline, heating oil and gasoil. Non-commercials increased net length in Brent, gasoline, gasoil and WTI , but decreased in natural gas and heating oil during the reference week. Non-commercials net length in natural gas decreased by -23.3k to +152.1k in futures and fell by -21......

The EIA reported a +92 bcf increase in inventories this week. This week’s reported injection was +3 bcf higher than our estimate and +1 bcf higher than the Bloomberg median. An underestimate in South Central and East builds was partially offset by an overestimate in the Midwest. Our initial estimate for the week ending April 18th is an injection in the high 90 bcf range. US: Baker Hughes shows 1012 active rigs as of April 18, 2019, lower by -10 from the previous week. Oil rigs decreased by -8 to 825 (ht: -3; vt-dir: -5), and gas-directed rigs decreased by -2 to 187 (ht: unch; vt-dir: -2). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +1 in Permian (TX), while declining by -2 in Anadarko (OK), by -1 in Monterey (CA) and by -1 in Permian (NM).
