Please find attached data and charts detailing the latest CFTC Commitments of Traders Report for the week ended March 05. We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline, heating oil and gasoil. Non-commercials increased net length in Brent, natural gas, gasoil and WTI , but decreased in gasoline and heating oil during the reference week. Non-commercials net length in natural gas fell by -1.6k to +178.2k in futures and rose by +9.0k to +.....


NORTH AMERICAN RIG WATCH | March 08, 2019

US: Baker Hughes shows 1027 active rigs as of March 08, 2019, lower by -11 from the previous week. Oil rigs decreased by -9 to 834 (ht: -4; vt-dir: -5), and gas-directed rigs decreased by -2 to 193 (ht: -3; vt-dir: +1). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +2 in Permian (TX) and by +1 in Anadarko (TX), while declining by -3 in Bakken (ND), by -1 in Eagle Ford (TX), by -1 in Permian (NM) and by -2 in Other areas not associated with a specific play. EIA NG STORAGE REPORT | March 07, 2019

Please note our extended U.S. and Canada tables covering the withdrawal season are included in the attachment. The EIA reported a -149 bcf decrease in inventories this week, despite the regions totaling to a -147 bcf drop. This week’s official draw was +4 bcf higher than both our estimate and the Bloomberg median. Almost all our miss this week was in the East, where we underestimated the draw by 5 bcf. Our initial estimate for the week ending March 7th is a draw in the 220 bcf range. Wit.....

For the week ending February 28, 2019, We are anticipating a -145 bcf draw for Thursday’s natural gas storage report as indicated by our pipeline scrapes. E: -38; MW: -47; MTN : -7; PAC : -11; SC: -42. There are currently 4 analysts reporting on Bloomberg with an average of -138 bcf. For the next four weeks (incl. this week) we are anticipating draws of: -145, -215, -92, -75 Total net imports averaged -5.31 bcf/d, down by -0.61 bcf/d week-on-week.
