Please find attached data and charts detailing the latest CFTC Commitments of Traders Report for the week ended November 15. We focus on net length of non-commercial traders as well as net length of money managers and swap dealers as indicated in the disaggregated data for WTI , natural gas, gasoline, and heating oil. Non-commercial net length increased in WTI and heating oil, and was almost unchanged in gasoline during the week ended November 15 (in line with last week). Non-commercials .....

STATS shows 1,873 active rigs as of November 18, 2011, up +17 rigs from a week ago. Oil rigs rose by +34 (ht: +26, vt-dir: +8) and gas rigs fell by -17 (ht: -2, vt-dir: -15).

EIA reported a surprisingly low +19 bcf build for the week ended November 11. This build was well below expectations (Bloomberg median +27 bcf), but still above the prior 5-year average build (+10 bcf) and the year-ago withdrawal (-1 bcf). After three consecutive weeks of the build exceeding expectations, this week’s bullish announcement sent the NYMEX front month contract up about 7 cents. Please find attached data and charts detailing the latest CFTC Commitments of Traders Report for the week ended November 8. We focus on net length of non-commercial traders as well as net length of money managers and swap dealers as indicated in the disaggregated data for WTI , natural gas, gasoline, and heating oil. Non-commercial net length climbed in WTI and heating oil, and was flat in gasoline during the week ended November 8. Non-commercials increased net length by 6.1k to 205.3k in.....

STATS shows 1,856 active rigs as of November 11, 2011, down -3 rigs from a week ago. Oil rigs rose by +7 (ht: +12, vt-dir: -5) and gas rigs fell by -10 (ht: -17, vt-dir: +7).

EIA reported a +37 bcf build for the week ended November 4. This build was above expectations (Bloomberg median +32 bcf, Bloomberg whisper +33 bcf), the year-ago build (+26 bcf) and the prior 5-year average (+23 bcf). This was the third consecutive week that the build exceeded market expectations. But this week the bearish build was partly due to circumstances that could prove fleeting. This build was above expectations (Bloomberg median +72 bcf, Bloomberg whisper +73 bcf), the year-ago build (+67 bcf) and the prior 5-year average (+35 bcf).
