Please find attached data and charts detailing the latest CFTC Commitments of Traders Report for the week ending February 15. We focus on net length of non-commercial traders as well as net length of money managers and swap dealers as indicated in the disaggregated data for WTI , natural gas, gasoline, and heating oil. The non-commercial net short position strengthened in the natural gas market and reached a new record low (since the CFTC started releasing disaggregated data in January 20.....

EIA NG STORAGE REPORT The EIA reported a -233 bcf storage withdrawal for the week ending February 11, just slightly below the Bloomberg median estimate of -235 bcf but well above the five-year average draw of -150 bcf and the year-ago draw of -190 bcf. This draw indicates balances tighter than last year but in line with the prior week’s draw after adjusting for power outages in Texas and natural gas shortages in the Southwest US during the prior week. The EIA reported a -209 bcf storage withdrawal for the week ending February 4, a larger withdrawal than the Bloomberg median estimate of -197 bcf, the five-year average draw of -159 bcf, and the year-ago draw of -180 bcf. This week’s withdrawal indicates that balances are much tighter on both a year-ago basis and compared to prior weeks during this heating season. This is (at least partly) due to the historically cold weather that struck Texas and the Southwest US last week, leading to well .....

We focus on net length of non-commercial traders as well as net length of money managers and swap dealers as indicated in the disaggregated data for WTI , natural gas, gasoline, and heating oil. EIA NG STORAGE REPORT The EIA reported a -189 bcf storage withdrawal for the week ending January 28, a larger withdrawal than the Bloomberg median estimate of -187 bcf, the five-year average draw of -165 bcf, and the year-ago draw of -111 bcf. We focus on net length of non-commercial traders as well as net length of money managers and swap dealers as indicated in the disaggregated data for WTI , natural gas, gasoline, and heating oil. Non-commercial net length declined across the petroleum complex this week. Net longs fell by 20.8k to 204.6k in futures only and by 22.5k to 263.6k in futures and options comb.....

EIA NG STORAGE REPORT The EIA reported a -174 bcf storage withdrawal for the week ending January 21, a larger withdrawal than the Bloomberg median estimate of -170 bcf, the five-year average draw of -152 bcf, and the year-ago draw of -109 bcf. EIA NG STORAGE REPORT The EIA reported a -243 bcf storage withdrawal for the week ending January 14, a larger withdrawal than the Bloomberg median estimate of -232 bcf and the -133 bcf five-year average, but a smaller withdrawal than the year-ago -248 bcf draw. Looking at weather, this draw appears largely in line with last year’s draw. At the same time, net imports during the calendar week are astoundingly low given the cold weather that hit the US during the reporting week. Even so, .....
