Baker Hughes shows 618 active rigs as of January 29, 2016, lower by -18 from the previous week. Oil rigs decreased by -13 to 497 (ht: -8; vt-dir: -5) while gas-directed rigs dropped by -5 to 122 (ht: -5; vt-dir: unch). Horizontal oil rigs decreased by -11 in Permian (TX) and by -4 in Permian (NM), while increasing by +3 in Anadarko (OK). Gas-directed horizontal rigs declined by -1 in Granite Wash (OK), Marcellus ( NEPA ) and Woodford (Arkoma).

We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline, heating oil and gasoil. Non-commercials increased net length in Brent, gasoline, gasoil and WTI , but decreased in natural gas and heating oil during the reference week. Non-commercials net length in natural gas fell by -6.2k to +13.4k in futures and declined by -0.3k.....

Oil rigs decreased by -5 to 510 (ht: -1; vt-dir: -4) while gas-directed rigs dropped by -8 to 127 (ht: -10; vt-dir: +2). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +2 in Anadarko (OK) and +1 in Permian (TX), but dropped by -2 in Bakken (ND) and in areas not associated with a specific play. Gas-directed horizontal rigs declined by -3 in Eagle Ford (TX) and -4 in Haynesville (TX).
