Please find attached data and charts detailing the latest CFTC Commitments of Traders Report for the week ended May 27. We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline and heating oil. Non-commercials increased net length in heating oil, Brent and WTI , but decreased in natural gas and gasoline during the reference week. Non-commercials net length in natural gas fell by -10.7k to +338.9k in futures and declined by -21.3k to +449.5k in fu.....

Baker Hughes shows 1,862 active rigs as of May 30, 2014, higher by +9 from the previous week. Oil rigs increased by +8 to 1,536 (ht: +9; vt-dir: -1) while gas-directed rigs increased by +1 to 326 (ht: -1; vt-dir: +2). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +8 to 194 in the Eagle Ford (TX) and vertical/directional oil rigs increased by +4 to 220 in the Permian (TX). Gas-directed horizontal rigs increased by +3 to 19 in Granite Wash (TX).

In Focus: New gas carriers to support LPG and ethylene/ethane arbitrage The size of the very large gas carrier ( VLGC ) segment is set to grow by around 50% through 2016 in response to greater supply of LPGs – most notably in the US – and increased demand, which is expected to come predominantly from the Asia-Pacific region. The 80 new VLGCs, which are on average 84,000 cubic meters (cbm), should increase capacity by +6.8 million cbm from 12.6 million cbm to 19.3 million cbm by the end of 20.....

U.S. crude oil inventories rose by +1657k bbl in the week ended May 23, while Cushing stocks fell by -1525k bbl. Distillate inventories decreased by -196k bbl and gasoline inventories declined by -1803k bbl. We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline and heating oil. Non-commercials increased net length in natural gas, heating oil, Brent and WTI , but decreased in gasoline during the reference week. Non-commercials net length in natural gas declined by -5.3k to +349.6k in futures and grew by +9.4k to +470.7k in futures.....

Baker Hughes shows 1,853 active rigs as of May 23, 2014, lower by -4 from the previous week. Oil rigs decreased by -3 to 1,528 (ht: -8; vt-dir: +5) while gas-directed rigs decreased by -1 to 325 (ht: +3; vt-dir: -4). Horizontal oil rigs decreased by -6 to 186 in Eagle Ford (TX) and vertical/directional oil rigs increased by +3 to 216 in the Permian (TX). Gas-directed horizontal rigs decreased by -2 to 23 in Haynesville (TX).

In Focus: Incremental LPG exports Although U.S. propane production increased +88 kb/d w-o-w to hit a new high and as PADD 3 inventories continue to exhibit strong builds, a review of planned LPG export facilities – both large and small – suggest the market could tighten in late 1Q and 2Q 2015.
