Schlumberger (Smith) STATS

STATS shows 1,899 active rigs as of April 27, 2012, up +2 rigs from a week ago. Oil rigs went up by +7 (ht: +8, vt-dir: -1) and total gas rigs went down by -5 (ht: -1, vt-dir: -4). Horizontal oil rigs went up by +8 in Eagle Ford (TX), while falling by -2 in Anadarko (TX) and by -2 in Permian (TX). Horizontal gas rigs went up by +5 in Granite Wash (TX), followed by +3 in Marcellus ( SWPA ) and +2 in Marcellus ( NEPA ). Horizontal gas rigs fell by -3 in Woodford (Anadarko) and by -2 in Eagle Fo.....

U.S. crude oil inventories increased by +3,978k bbl in the week ended April 20, while Cushing stocks built +574k bbl. Distillate inventories drew -3,052k bbl and gasoline inventories dropped by -2,235k bbl. Please find attached this week’s detailed statistical report. Major data points: Crude oil inventories : Built +3.98m bbl (vs. the API estimate of -1.0m bbl), driven by an increase in PADD III of +3.08m bbl that offset a draw of -2.17m bbl in PADD V.
