Oil rigs decreased by -15 to 1,382 (ht: unch.; vt-dir: -15) and gas-directed rigs decreased by -1 to 387 (ht: -2; vt-dir: +1). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +9 to 158 in Eagle Ford (TX), by +4 to 116 in Permian (TX), and by +5 to 92 in Anadarko (OK), while dropping by -10 to 190 in areas currently not associated with a specific play.
