Please find attached data and charts detailing the latest CFTC Commitments of Traders Report for the week ended November 11. We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline and heating oil. Non-commercials increased net length in natural gas, heating oil, Brent, gasoline and WTI during the reference week. Non-commercials net length in natural gas increased by +37.8k to +79.9k in futures and grew by +40.5k to +144.1k in futures and option.....

EIA reported a +40 bcf injection for the week ending November 7 (Bloomberg median +37 bcf, Bloomberg whisper: +36 bcf). The 25 estimates submitted to Bloomberg varied from +25 bcf to +46 bcf with a standard deviation of 5 bcf. Our model showed +36 bcf. Nationwide natural gas-weighted heating degree days reported by NOAA increased by +49 to 110 HDDs, while electricity-weighted cooling degree days decreased by -6 to 3 CDDs. Baker Hughes shows 1,928 active rigs as of November 14, 2014, higher by +4 from the previous week. Oil rigs increased by +10 to 1,578 (ht: +9; vt-dir: +1) while gas-directed rigs decreased by -6 to 350 (ht: -2; vt-dir: -4). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +6 to 259 whereas vertical/directional oil rigs decreased by -4 to 183 in the Permian (TX). Gas-directed horizontal rigs decreased by -3 to 15 in Eagle Ford (TX).

Baker Hughes shows 1,924 active rigs as of November 7, 2014, lower by -4 from the previous week. Oil rigs decreased by -14 to 1,568 (ht: +2; vt-dir: -16) while gas-directed rigs increased by +10 to 356 (ht: +7; vt-dir: +3). Horizontal oil rigs decreased by -7 to 197 and vertical/directional oil rigs decreased by -7 to 13 in the Eagle Ford (TX). Gas-directed horizontal rigs increased by +1 to 26 in Marcellus ( SWPA ).

RESEND : The original version of this document had an error in its Tables. October 2014 inventory build for the “U.S. Total” section was mistakenly reported as 320 bcf, with end-October storage volume showing 3,491 bcf. Those numbers should be 411 bcf and 3,582 bcf, respectively. This updated version corrects those errors. No other changes were made. Please find attached data and charts detailing the latest CFTC Commitments of Traders Report for the week ended October 28. We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline and heating oil. Non-commercials increased net length in gasoline , but decreased in natural gas, heating oil, Brent and WTI during the reference week. Non-commercials net length in natural gas decreased by -15.0k to +0.2k in futures and declined by -31.9k to +62.9k in.....

Baker Hughes shows 1,928 active rigs as of October 31, 2014, higher by +1 from the previous week. Oil rigs decreased by -13 to 1,582 (ht: -13) while gas-directed rigs increased by +14 to 346 (ht: +11; vt-dir: +3). Horizontal oil rigs decreased by -7 to 138 in the Anadarko (OK) and vertical/directional oil rigs decreased by -5 to 187 in the Permian (TX). Gas-directed horizontal rigs increased by +3 to 25 in Marcellus ( SWPA ).

EIA reported a +87 bcf injection for the week ending October 24 (Bloomberg median +85 bcf, Bloomberg whisper: +87 bcf). The 25 estimates submitted to Bloomberg varied from +77 bcf to +91 bcf with a standard deviation of 3 bcf. Our model showed +84 bcf. Nationwide natural gas-weighted heating degree days reported by NOAA increased by +17 to 66 HDDs, while electricity-weighted cooling degree days decreased by -10 to 8 CDDs.
