Please find attached data and charts detailing the latest CFTC Commitments of Traders Report for the week ended February 24. We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline and heating oil. Non-commercials increased net length in natural gas, heating oil and Brent , but decreased in gasoline and WTI during the reference week. Non-commercials net length in natural gas rose by +41.4k to +6.2k in futures and increased by +30.2k to +52.6k in.....

Baker Hughes shows 1,266 active rigs as of February 27, 2015, lower by -42 from the previous week. Oil rigs decreased by -33 to 986 (ht: -29; vt-dir: -4) while gas-directed rigs decreased by -9 to 280 (ht: -4; vt-dir: -5). Horizontal oil rigs decreased by -6 to 125 in the Eagle Ford (TX) whereas vertical/directional oil rigs increased by +3 to 82 in the Permian (TX). Gas-directed horizontal rigs decreased by -1 to 27 in Marcellus ( SWPA ).

EIA reported a -219 bcf withdrawal for the week ending February 19 (Bloomberg median -238 bcf, Bloomberg whisper: -235 bcf). The 25 estimates submitted to Bloomberg varied from -257 bcf to -226 bcf with a standard deviation of 8 bcf. Our model showed -235 bcf. Nationwide natural gas-weighted heating degree days reported by NOAA increased by +73 to 263 HDDs, while electricity-weighted cooling degree days decreased by -1 to 0 CDD . We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline and heating oil. Non-commercials increased net length in natural gas, heating oil and Brent , but decreased in gasoline and WTI during the reference week. Non-commercials net length in natural gas increased by +7.6k to -35.2k in futures and grew by +9.8k to +22.4k in .....

Baker Hughes shows 1,308 active rigs as of February 20, 2015, lower by -48 from the previous week. Oil rigs decreased by -37 to 1,019 (ht: -32; vt-dir: -5) while gas-directed rigs decreased by -11 to 289 (ht: -14; vt-dir: +3). Horizontal oil rigs decreased by -7 to 131 in the Eagle Ford (TX) and vertical/directional oil rigs decreased by -11 to 79 in the Permian (TX). Gas-directed horizontal rigs decreased by -2 to 18 in the Eagle Ford (TX).

EIA reported a -111 bcf withdrawal for the week ending February 12 (Bloomberg median -111 bcf, Bloomberg whisper: -109 bcf). The 23 estimates submitted to Bloomberg varied from -120 bcf to -96 bcf with a standard deviation of 6 bcf. Our model showed -111 bcf. Nationwide natural gas-weighted heating degree days reported by NOAA decreased by -34 to 190 HDDs, while electricity-weighted cooling degree days remained flat at 1 CDD . Non-commercials increased net length in Brent and WTI , but decreased in natural gas, heating oil and gasoline during the reference week. Non-commercials net length in natural gas fell by -15.0k to -42.8k in futures and declined by -11.5k to +12.6k in.....

Oil rigs decreased by -84 to 1,056 (ht: -52; vt-dir: -32) while gas-directed rigs decreased by -14 to 300 (ht: -11; vt-dir: -3). Horizontal oil rigs decreased by -30 to 191 and vertical/directional oil rigs decreased by -5 to 90 in the Permian (TX). Gas-directed horizontal rigs increased by +4 to 20 in the Eagle Ford (TX).
