Baker Hughes shows 848 active rigs as of September 11, 2015, lower by -16 from the previous week. Oil rigs decreased by -10 to 652 (ht: -6; vt-dir: -4) while gas-directed rigs decreased by -6 to 196 (ht: -5; vt-dir: -1). Horizontal oil rigs decreased by -3 in Permian (TX) and by -1 in Anadarko (TX) and in Eagle Ford (TX) each. Gas-directed horizontal rigs declined by -2 to 10 rigs in Eagle Ford (TX).

EIA reported a +68 bcf injection for the week ending September 3 (Bloomberg median +74 bcf, Bloomberg whisper: +74 bcf). The 11 estimates submitted to Bloomberg varied from +71 bcf to +78 bcf with a standard deviation of 2 bcf. Our model showed +71 bcf. Nationwide natural gas-weighted heating degree days reported by NOAA decreased by -6 HDD to 2 HDDs, while electricity-weighted cooling degree days increased by +12 CDDs to 70 CDDs. Total US: +68 bcf ( LCMC : +71 bcf, Bloomberg median: +74.....

We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline, heating oil and gasoil. Non-commercials increased net length in Brent, gasoline, natural gas, gasoil, heating oil and WTI during the reference week. Non-commercials net length in natural gas rose by +6.0k to -0.4k in futures and grew by +0.6k to -0.7k in futures and.....

Oil rigs decreased by -13 to 662 (ht: -13; vt-dir: unch) while gas-directed rigs were unchanged at 202 (ht: unch; vt-dir: unch). Horizontal oil rigs decreased by -4 in Eagle Ford (TX) and by -3 in Anadarko (TX). Gas-directed horizontal rigs declined by -3 to 12 rig in Haynesville (TX).

EIA reported a +94 bcf net change in inventory for the week ending August 27 (Bloomberg median +93 bcf, Bloomberg whisper: +93 bcf). The 16 estimates submitted to Bloomberg varied from +86 bcf to +99 bcf with a standard deviation of 3 bcf. Our model showed +89 bcf. Nationwide natural gas-weighted heating degree days reported by NOAA increased by +6 HDD to 8 HDDs, while electricity-weighted cooling degree days decreased by -24 CDDs to 58 CDDs.
