Please find attached data and charts detailing U. S. gas imports and power demand for the week ended March 24, 2016. Total net imports for the reference week averaged 1.05 bcf/d, higher by +0.87 bcf/d week-on-week. During the same week last year, U.S. net imports averaged 2.84 bcf/d. Average natural gas demand in the power sector was 23.4 bcf/d, unchanged week-over-week. During the reference week, the contiguous US observed 78 electric-weighted HDDs, higher by +36 from the previous week.

Please find attached data and charts detailing the latest CFTC Commitments of Traders Report for the week ended March 22. We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline, heating oil and gasoil. Non-commercials increased net length in Brent, natural gas, heating oil and WTI , but decreased in gasoline and gasoil during the reference week. Non-commercials net length in natural gas rose by +27.3k to -2.0k in futures and grew by +29.4k to -.....

Baker Hughes shows 464 active rigs as of March 24, 2016, lower by -12 from the previous week. Oil rigs decreased by -15 to 372 (ht: -10; vt-dir: -5) while gas-directed rigs increased by +3 to 92 (ht: unch; vt-dir: +3). Horizontal oil rigs decreased by -4 in Permian (TX), while decreasing by -3 in Anadarko (OK). Gas-directed vertical/directional rigs increased by +3 in Louisiana locations not associated with any major shale play.


EIA NG STORAGE REPORT | March 24, 2016

The EIA reported a +15 bcf injection for the week ending March 17, coming lower than our own number at +22 bcf, and the Bloomberg median at +21 bcf. The surprise draw of -6 bcf leaves the Midwest as the only region still in the withdrawal season. However, despite the early end to the withdrawal season this year, the +15 bcf build implies a considerable week-on-week tightening of the supply and demand balances We did see a significant decline in production combined with lower net imports fr.....

Oil rigs increased by +1 to 387 (ht: -3; vt-dir: +4) while gas-directed rigs decreased by -5 to 89 (ht: -3; vt-dir: -2). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +2 in Eagle Ford (TX), while decreasing by -1 in Anadarko (OK), Anadarko (KS), Bakken (ND) and Permian (NM). Gas-directed horizontal rigs increased by +1 in Granite Wash (OK), while dropping by -1 in Eagle Ford (TX).
