Please find attached data and charts detailing U. S. gas imports and power demand for the week ended May 26, 2016. Total net imports for the reference week averaged 1.05 bcf/d, lower by -0.07 bcf/d week-on-week. During the same week last year, U.S. net imports averaged 2.50 bcf/d. Average natural gas demand in the power sector was 26.2 bcf/d, higher by +2.1 bcf/d week-over-week. During the reference week, the contiguous US observed 33 population-weighted CDDs, higher by +12 from the previo.....

Please find attached data and charts detailing the latest CFTC Commitments of Traders Report for the week ended May 24. We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline, heating oil and gasoil. Non-commercials increased net length in gasoil, heating oil and WTI , but decreased in Brent, gasoline and natural gas during the reference week. Non-commercials net length in natural gas decreased by -28.2k to +39.9k in futures and fell by -26.9k .....

Baker Hughes shows 403 active rigs as of May 27, 2016, unchanged from the previous week. Oil rigs decreased by -2 to 316 (ht: unch; vt-dir: -2), while gas-directed rigs increased by +2 to 87 (ht: unch; vt-dir: +2). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +1 in Anadarko (OK) and Eagle Ford (TX), while declining by -1 in Anadarko (TX), Bakken (ND) and Permian (TX). Horizontal gas rigs increased by +1 in Haynesville (LA) and Marcellus ( NEPA ), while declining by -1 in Eagle Ford (TX).

The EIA reported a +71 bcf injection for the week ending May 19, coming in above our own number at +64 bcf and the Bloomberg median at +67 bcf. Despite different weather patterns and the fact that our scrape sample based on pipeline flows was 8 bcf lower week-on-week, the injection and its regional breakdown was very similar to the +73 bcf build reported for the previous week. Baker Hughes shows 403 active rigs as of May 20, 2016, lower by -2 from the previous week. Oil rigs were unchanged at 318 (ht: +1; vt-dir: -1), while gas-directed rigs decreased by -2 to 85 (ht: -2; vt-dir: unch). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +4 in Anadarko (OK) and by +3 in Permian (TX), while declining by -2 in Anadarko (TX). Horizontal gas rigs declined by -1 in Eagle Ford (TX) and Granite Wash (OK), while increasing by +1 in Haynesville (LA).

The EIA reported a +73 bcf injection for the week ending May 12, coming in below our own number at +79 bcf and the Bloomberg median at +79 bcf. Regionally, the small net injection reported by salt domes explains most of the miss compared to our expectations. As every other region reported a higher injection week-on-week, salt domes injected only +3 bcf to get within 11 bcf of the high from last November. Based on pipeline data we expected a higher injection into salt domes for the week.....
