Please find the attached data and charts detailing U.S. gas imports and power demand for the week ended May 24, 2018. Total net imports for the reference week averaged -1.15 bcf/d, up by +0.73 bcf/d week-on-week. During the same week last year, U.S. net imports averaged -0.78 bcf/d. Average natural gas demand in the power sector was 26.7 bcf/d, up by +0.7 bcf/d week-over-week. During the reference week, the contiguous US observed 42 population weighted CDDs, up by +1 week over week.

Please find attached data and charts detailing the latest CFTC Commitments of Traders Report for the week ended May 22. We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline, heating oil and gasoil. Non-commercials increased net length in gasoline, natural gas, gasoil, heating oil and WTI , but decreased in Brent during the reference week. US: Baker Hughes shows 1057 active rigs as of May 25, 2018, higher by +13 from the previous week. Oil rigs increased by +15 to 859 (ht: +9; vt-dir: +6), and gas-directed rigs decreased by -2 to 198 (ht: -2; vt-dir: unch). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +4 in Eagle Ford (TX), by +3 in Permian (TX), by +1 in Bakken (ND), by +1 in Barnett Combo (TX) and by +1 in Other areas not associated with a specific play, while declining by -1 in Anadarko (TX). Horizontal gas rigs increased by +1 in Granite.....
EIA NG STORAGE REPORT

The EIA reported a +91 bcf net change in inventory this week. The injection was 4 bcf lower than our estimate and in line with the Bloomberg median. Our models overestimated the injections in the Midwest and South Central, both regions which experienced above seasonal power burns during the reference week. This may suggest our regional balance models are underestimating power burns and overestimating injections, something we will further investigate in the coming week. Our preliminary estima.....

Total net imports for the reference week averaged -1.88 bcf/d, up by +0.27 bcf/d week-on-week. During the same week last year, U.S. net imports averaged -0.99 bcf/d. Average natural gas demand in the power sector was 25.9 bcf/d, up by +1.0 bcf/d week-over-week. During the reference week, the contiguous US observed 42 population weighted CDDs, up by +9 week over week.
