Please find attached data and charts detailing U.S. gas imports and power demand for the week ended April 27, 2017. Total net imports for the reference week averaged 0.55 bcf/d, lower by -0.36 bcf/d week-on-week. During the same week last year, U.S. net imports averaged 2.27 bcf/d. Average natural gas demand in the power sector was 21.6 bcf/d, higher by +0.2 bcf/d week-over-week. We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline, heating oil and gasoil. Non-commercials decreased net length in Brent, gasoline, natural gas, gasoil, heating oil and WTI during the reference week. Non-commercials net length in natural gas grew by +2.0k to +440.9k in futures and decreased by -7.1k to +528.9k in future.....

Baker Hughes shows 868 active rigs as of April 28, 2017, higher by +13 from the previous week. Oil rigs increased by +9 to 697 (ht: +11; vt-dir -2), and gas-directed rigs increased by +4 to 171 (ht: +1; vt-dir: +3). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +5 in Eagle Ford (TX), by +4 in Permian (TX) and by +3 in Anadarko (OK), while decreasing by -1 in Permian (NM). Horizontal gas rigs increased by +1 in Haynesville (LA).

The EIA reported a +74 bcf injection for the week ending April 20, -3 bcf below what our flow model had anticipated on Tuesday and +1 bcf above the Bloomberg median. The most significant deviation in our flow model, once again, proved to be Midwest where our estimate was 5 bcf higher than the reported injection. Please find attached data and charts detailing U.S. gas imports and power demand for the week ended April 20, 2017. Total net imports for the reference week averaged 1.08 bcf/d, higher by +1.12 bcf/d week-on-week. During the same week last year, U.S. net imports averaged +1.97 bcf/d. The significant increase in net imports week-over-week was due mainly to a maintenance outage on the Net Mexico pipeline that restricted exports to Mexico. Average natural gas demand in the power sector was 21.5.....

Horizontal oil rigs increased by +1 in Permian (TX), by +2 in the Bakken (ND), by +2 in Eagle Ford (TX) and by +5 in other, while decreasing by -1 in Anadarko (OK). Horizontal gas rigs increased by +1 in the Barnett (TX), by +1 in the Marcellus ( NEPA ) and by +1 in Other.

The EIA reported a +54 bcf injection for the week ending April 13, -6 bcf below what our flow model had anticipated on Tuesday and +4 bcf above the Bloomberg median. The largest variance came in the Midwest, which was in part anticipated and explained on our Wednesday note: we traced our higher than consensus estimate for the Midwest to the data source used in our flow model. Average natural gas demand in the power sector was 20.5 bcf/d, lower by 1.1 bcf/d week-over-week.
