Please note our extended U.S. and Canada tables covering the injection season are included in the attachment. The EIA reported a 65 bcf injection for the week ending August 31st. The number was 1 bcf above our estimate and in line with the Bloomberg median. The biggest differences between our estimate and the reported EIA numbers came in the Midwest and South Central, with our model over-predicting the injection in the South Central and under-predicting the injection in the Midwest. Please find the attached data and charts detailing U.S. gas imports and power demand for the week ended August 24, 2017. Total net imports for the reference week averaged +0.10 bcf/d, up by +0.53 bcf/d week-on-week. During the same week last year, U.S. net imports averaged 1.00 bcf/d. Average natural gas demand in the power sector was 30.1 bcf/d, down -5.8 bcf/d week-over-week. During the reference week, the contiguous US observed 61 population weighted CDDs, down 22 week over week.

We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline, heating oil and gasoil. Non-commercials increased net length in Brent, gasoline, natural gas, gasoil and heating oil , but decreased in WTI during the reference week. Non-commercials net length in natural gas increased by +1.7k to +376.0k in futures and grew by +1.6k t.....

US: Baker Hughes shows 942 active rigs as of September 01, 2017, higher by +3 from the previous week. Oil rigs were unchanged at 759 (ht: -3; vt-dir: +3), and gas-directed rigs increased by +3 to 183 (ht: +1; vt-dir: +2). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +3 in Permian (NM) and by +2 in Other areas not associated with a specific play, while declining by -5 in Anadarko (OK), by -2 in Permian (TX) and by -1 in Eagle Ford (TX). Horizontal gas rigs increased by +1 in Marcellus ( SWPA ) and by +1 in .....

The EIA reported a 30 bcf injection for the week ending August 24th. The number was 1 bcf below our estimate and in line with the Bloomberg median. While our total estimate was close to the EIA reported number, there were some unexpected regional differences in the Mountain and South Central. In the South Central, we likely underestimated demand impacts ahead of the Hurricane (both in the power and RCI sectors) and overestimated supply impacts (due to shut-ins), leading our South Central.....

Total net imports for the reference week averaged -0.14 bcf/d, up by +0.20 bcf/d week-on-week. During the same week last year, U.S. net imports averaged 1.43 bcf/d. Average natural gas demand in the power sector was 35.9 bcf/d, up by +1.5 bcf/d week-over-week. During the reference week, the contiguous US observed 82 population weighted CDDs, up 3 week over week.

Non-commercials increased net length in gasoline , but decreased in Brent, natural gas, gasoil, heating oil and WTI during the reference week.
