Please find the attached data and charts detailing U.S. gas imports and power demand for the week ended October 5th, 2017. Total net imports for the reference week averaged -0.57 bcf/d, flat week-on-week. During the same week last year, U.S. net imports averaged +2.13 bcf/d. Please find attached data and charts detailing the latest CFTC Commitments of Traders Report for the week ended October 03. We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline, heating oil and gasoil. Non-commercials increased net length in gasoil , but decreased in Brent, gasoline, natural gas and WTI , and unchanged in heating oil during the reference week. Non-commercials net length in natural gas declined by -27.7k to +323.6k in futures .....

US: Baker Hughes shows 935 active rigs as of October 06, 2017, lower by -4 from the previous week. Oil rigs decreased by -2 to 748 (ht: -1; vt-dir: -1), and gas-directed rigs decreased by -2 to 187 (ht: -1; vt-dir: -1). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +2 in Eagle Ford (TX), while declining by -2 in Permian (TX) and by -1 in Bakken (ND). The EIA reported a +42 bcf injection for the week ending September 28th, the number was -2 bcf below our estimate and -5 bcf below the Bloomberg median. The region where we saw the largest variation was the Midwest, where our flow model had predicted lower injections. A combination of record late September heat, strong power burns, and much lower week over week injections in visible storage pools all suggested that injections would have been lower than reported in the Midwest.
