Propane: US propane inventories increased by +1.3m bbl to 68.5m bbl for the week ended August 1, 2014. PADD 3 inventories increased +3%, or +1m bbl, to 37.4m bbl. PADD 2 stocks increased +2% or by +484k bbl to 22.9m bbl. In PADD 1, stocks decreased -3% or -193k bbl to 5.5m bbl. Please find attached data and charts detailing the latest CFTC Commitments of Traders Report for the week ended July 29. We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline and heating oil. Non-commercials increased net length in heating oil , but decreased in natural gas, Brent, gasoline and WTI during the reference week. Non-commercials net length in natural gas declined by -21.9k to +170.4k in futures and decreased by -31.0k to +270.8k in.....

Baker Hughes shows 1,886 active rigs as of August 1, 2014, higher by +6 from the previous week. Oil rigs increased by +11 to 1,573 (ht: +9; vt-dir: +2) while gas-directed rigs decreased by -5 to 313 (ht: -3; vt-dir: -2). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +5 to 228 while vertical/directional oil rigs decreased by -1 to 210 in the Permian (TX). Gas-directed horizontal rigs increased by +3 to 22 in Haynesville (TX).

EIA reported a +88 bcf injection for the week ending July 25 (Bloomberg median: +92 bcf, Bloomberg whisper: +92 bcf). The 24 estimates submitted to Bloomberg varied from +85 bcf to +100 bcf with a standard deviation of 4 bcf. Our model showed +96 bcf. Nationwide electricity-weighted cooling degree days reported by NOAA decreased by -3 to 66 CDDs, while natural gas-weighted HDDs decreased by -2 to 5 HDD . Propane: US propane inventories increased by +1.75m bbl to 67.2m bbl for the week ended July 25, 2014. PADD 3 inventories increased +1%, or +374k bbl, to 36.4m bbl. PADD 2 stocks increased +4% or by +847k bbl to 22.4m bbl. In PADD 1, stocks increased +8% or +406k bbl to 5.7m bbl. Implied demand fell -9% to 946 kb/d; imports decreased -4% to 55 kb/d while production fell -1% to 1.58 mb/d last week. Oil rigs increased by +8 to 1,562 (ht: +3; vt-dir: +5) while gas-directed rigs increased by +3 to 318 (ht: +2; vt-dir: +1). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +3 to 135 in the Anadarko (OK), but decreased by -5 in Eagle Ford (TX). Vertical/directional oil rigs decreased by -1 to 210 in the Permian (TX). Gas-directed horizontal rigs increased by +2 to 15 in Granite Wash (TX).
